The Team

Our trusted friends...

Tim Robson

Tim creates engagement and training programmes for front-line teams and leaders in representing their brand and delivering the customer experience to match it. Before launching Coracle Learning, his own consultancy, Tim was Head of Service Design for Marks and Spencer and continues to support the company's Retail Training programmes alongside other clients such as HSBC and the British Heart Foundation. A football fanatic, Tim is perfectly placed to expose the beautiful game to the best of best practice elsewhere.

Claim to infamy: Tim once performed a spot of break-dancing on the main stage of Sheffield Arena in front of 10,000 people. Not normally used to 'shaking his booty', our associate had to take his specs off and leave them with the DJ. Sheffield's Royal Hallamshire Hospital subsequently reported a wave of requests for trauma counselling.

Jonathan Buck

Jonathan has an established record of delivering change and improvement in professional sports club management. He combines comprehensive systems, operations and IT knowledge with a passion for placing the customer at the heart of the business. With a glowing reputation in the football, cricket, rugby and arena management industries, clients with an urgent need to combine operational improvement with the development of a new customer mindset, are seeking Jonathan’s support.

Claim to infamy: Back in the late 1980's a young Jonathan once told SHOOT magazine that Newcastle United's most famous fan was Robert Runcie (the then Archbishop of Canterbury) and they duly went ahead and printed it. This came as a complete surprise to the Archbishop - and may possibly explain why the Conservative government of the time was advocating the disestablishment of the Church of England. Runcie's Catholic counterpart Cardinal Basil Hume was the true Magpie fan.

Chris Clayton

Chris has a reputation for delivering immediate benefits in all of the areas that count: culture, customer experience and financial performance. An expert in employee engagement and customer mapping techniques, he pinpoints value and drives out waste by liberating the team to make the right decisions for the customer. The football world is already reaping the benefits of Chris's engaging and effective talents.

Claim to infamy: Whilst working in HMV in Bordeaux, Chris once sold Prince Andrew a Kylie CD. Having sailed all the way to France to conceal his fervour for the 'singing budgie', it is believed that the Duke of York panicked at the appearance of a loyal subject (with a Northern accent).

Nadio is one of those rare people who operates within the dual universes of academia and business. Director of several companies, champion of third sector initiatives and with a background in international catering and hospitality, Nadio is our link man into academia bringing his huge network of contacts to the party.

Claim to infamy: Once judged a fancy dress Valentine's party at a raunchy disco with Sally from Coronation Street. He also appeared on Dragon's Den (you'll have to YouTube that). However, his proudest broadcasting achievement to date was hosting the Italian Hour on Radio Huddersfield. Bizarrely, the show was delivered entirely in English to an audience consisting of Nadio's Dad and all of the staff at his Italian restaurants.
